He is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program in the Department of Korean Culture at Wonkwang University Graduate School. He is a retired Army Infantry Officer. He operates a Tea Museum. He serves as the Chairman of Real Art Co., Ltd. (Korea Museum of Art) and the Vice Chairman of the Tea Culture Division of the Korea Culture and Arts Association. His publications include the book Jisahwa Encyclopedia and the book Chinese Pu-erh Tea. He is the President of the Yeonsong Tea Culture Society.
