He graduated from Arita Ceramic University in Japan. He has served as a Judge for the Grand Prize Art Exhibition of the Republic of Korea. He is a Director of the Korean Fine Arts Association (KFAA). He participated in the Korea-Japan Hoeryeong Ceramics Exhibition (at Shinsegae Department Store) and the Incense Burner Exhibition (at Tongdosa Museum). He is the recipient of the Grand Prize (Highest Honor) at the Traditional Fine Arts Exhibition of the Republic of Korea. He is the President of the Yangsan Crafts Association and the Representative Director of Tohyangjae Ceramics.
