He is the recipient of the Presidential Award (Boguk Medal), the Dasan Literary Grand Prize, and the Buddhist Literature Grand Prize. He has won the Republic of Korea Local Literature Award twice, the President of the Korean Federation of Arts and Culture Organizations (YeChong) Award twice, and the President of the Korean Arts Association Award twice. He also received the Gyeongsangbuk-do Literary Award. He received the Invited Artist Award and the Excellent Artist Award from the International Association for the Promotion of Comprehensive Arts. He won the Highest Excellence Award for Memorial Poetry on Memorial Day (Hyunchungil) from the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. He was honored with the Grand Prize (Jangwon) at the Eunma Patriotic Essay Contest and the Minister of National Defense Award. He also received the Chief of Staff of the Air Force Award 5 times, the Commander of Naval Operations Command Award, and the Busan Mayor's Award.
