He graduated from the Department of Western Painting, Kyung Hee University College of Fine Arts and Graduate School. He completed the Ph.D. program at Kookmin University College of Formative Arts. He has held 23 solo exhibitions (16 in Seoul, 5 in the US, 1 in Switzerland, 1 in Germany) and participated in over 370 group and planned invitational exhibitions. He was recognized as a 5th International Master Hand (5th International Master) in the Visual Arts Division. He serves as a Visiting Professor at Kyung Hee University and an Adjunct Professor at Sejong University College of Fine Arts Graduate School. He lectures at Chung-Ang University and Dongguk University Industrial Education Institutes and is the Representative Director of the International Contemporary Art Research Institute. He is the President of the Gangnam Fine Arts Association and the President of the Seoul Chapter of the Korean Fine Arts Association (KFAA).
