He is a certified Transmission Education Instructor for Daegeum Sanjo, National Intangible Cultural Heritage. He is the Director of the Jo Cheol-hyeon Daegeum Research Institute (Busan, Seoul). He has participated in over a thousand domestic performances and planned hundreds of performances. He is an Essayist, having made his literary debut in the Gwangju literary magazine Lyricism and Imagination in 2008. He developed the new traditional instrument 'Janggeum' and registered it with the Korean Intellectual Property Office. He served as the Founding President of the Korea Fusion Music Association (Gwangju Metropolitan City).
