She received the Overall Grand Prize (Presidential Award) at the 43rd Gyeongju National Traditional Music Competition and the Grand Prize (Prime Minister's Award) in the General Division at the 26th National Tangeumdae Gayageum Competition.
A Certified Trainee (Isuja) of National Intangible Cultural Heritage Gayageum Sanjo and Byeongchang, she formerly served as an Adjunct Professor at Chonnam National University and Chosun University and as a Standing Member of the National Namdo Performing Arts Center.
She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Incorporated Association Sori, a Director at the Busanjin Cultural Foundation, and a Director at the Busan Branch of the Korea Traditional Music Association.
