He began training in the Gang Baek-cheon style Daegeum Sanjo in 1987 and is a certified trainee (Isuja) of National Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 45.
He performed at the founding anniversary of the Korea Daegeum Sanjo Preservation Association. He presented performances at various events, including the Gang Baek-cheon Style Daegeum Sanjo Recital, the Jeongeup Sanjang Concert,
and the Day of Traditional Musicians. He has dedicated 38 years to performing Daegeum Sanjo.
