He graduated from Dong-A University and its Graduate School. He has served as a Judge and is an Invited Artist for the Grand Prize Art Exhibition of the Republic of Korea (Gukjeon). He is the recipient of the Grand Prize (Highest Honor) at the Busan Fine Arts Exhibition and the Seongsan Fine Arts Exhibition. He formerly served as the Chairman of the Busan Metropolitan City Crafts Cooperative. He is a member of the Korean Fine Arts Association (KFAA) and the Busan Fine Arts Association. He serves as the Head of the Busan and Gyeongnam Branches of the Korea Traditional Industry Promotion Association. He holds the title of Master of International Culture and Arts in Ceramic Craft. He is the Representative Director of Toyeontoje Ceramics.
