She is a recipient of the Presidential Geunjeong Medal of the Republic of Korea. She completed the Traditional Folk Painting course at the Hongik University Culture and Arts Education Institute. She serves as the Head of the Operating Committee for the Folk Painting Division of the Korean Fine Arts Association and the Chairman of the Folk Painting Division for the Korea-America Cultural Heritage Foundation U.S.A. She is a Guest Folk Painting Artist for www.gurim.com and an Adjunct Professor at Dong-Eui University in Busan.
