She studied under Master Namjeon Kang Young-hee in 1966, and also under Master Sojeong Byun Kwan-sik. In 1987, she received the Minister of Culture and Information's Award for Literary and Artistic Promotion. She was awarded the Daegu City Council Chairman's Award at the Giro Art Exhibition. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Korean Giro Art Association and is the Chapter Head of the Americas Federation of Korean Arts and Culture for the International Giro Art Exhibition.
