He served as a professor in the Department of Art Education at Jinju National University of Education from 2000 to 2019 and holds membership in the Korean Fine Arts Association and the Jinju Fine Arts Association.
In addition to being selected five times for the Republic of Korea Art Exhibition and winning the Grand Prize at the Republic of Korea Contemporary Art Exhibition,
he has served as a judge or chairperson for numerous competitions, including the Gaecheon Art Exhibition, Seongsan Art Exhibition, and Jeonnam Art Exhibition.
