Baek Ji-won studied Namdo Minyo and Pansori under Living National Treasure An Sook-sun, and Goseong Nongminyo under Living National Treasure Kim Seok-myeong.

She is a certified successor (Isuja) of National Important Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 84, Goseong Nongyo.

She has performed in over 600 events, including collaborative local cultural festivals and consolation performances.

She received the Grand Prize (Presidential Award) at the 2002 National Native Folk Song Contest and was honored with the 24th Gyeongnam Person Award in the same year. Additionally,

she won the Grand Prize in the Traditional Music category at the 2016 National Arts and Culture Awards and received the Minister of Justice Award in 2024.
